So, what is FamilyGen, and what can you do for me?

Are you the 'historian' in your family?  Have you been wondering if there is a more convenient way to share your family's history and lineage with the rest of your family than printing out and mailing sheaves of paper?

We wondered about that ourselves.  After looking at what was currently available on the Internet, and not finding anything that we really liked, we decided to provide a service using our own designs.

We originally intended to build Web sites to showcase genealogy work, but decided to put our format into e-books instead.  We think that our design is the most pleasing to look at and the easiest to navigate of any other design available anywhere.  You can distribute your e-book to as many folks as you wish for no additional charge.  We only charge each time we update your book for re-distribution.

The e-book is great for relatives who do not have access to the Internet, and perhaps don't want to.  It is built from a file saved in the GEDCOM format from whatever genealogy program you use and displays information similar to the way your genealogy program does.  The difference is that your family members do not need to buy a genealogy program to view your work - you can distribute the e-book as freely as you wish.  Learn more about this by clicking on 'E-Books' in the navigation panel.
